Description: 1896 Jan 24, 25c stationery cover Switzerland with additional franking 25c Helvetia from Berne endorsed 'Via Brindisi', 'Singapore to Hong Kong' transit c.d.s., carried to Tientsin and franked with 6ca, tied by TIENTSIN seal cancellation in blue, Customs Tientsin c.d.s. in red of Mar 7, and in blue on the reverse, the Peking Mar 9 c.d.s. of arrival ties an 'Exposition Nationale/Geneve 1896' label which had been affixed as a seal /
Note: 6 candarins postage due on embossed cover from Switzerland covering the double internal rate from Tientsin to Peking.
